Sapim double butted spokes have the two major benefits of less weight and more strength. Sapim Forging Technology uses advances in cold forging to stretch the spoke, retaining the linear molecular structure of the material, thereby increasing the strength at the middle of the spoke by at least 48%. As an added bonus, the thin middle sections of the Race spokes also provide better shock absorption qualities in the wheel.
